Having grown up with a Father who owned a Design-Build Construction company I have been involved in construction since I was a child. There were certainly many adventures exploring and living through construction projects for our family throughout the years. Living proof is that I am currently living in my 36th home.

Something Interesting About MeMy passion for design extends beyond creating space, as I love to entertain, curate meals, design travel explorations, and excursions with my family.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH B.A. WORTHING, INC.?

I began my journey as a designer at the age of 5 when my Father gave me the opportunity to accompany him to work on Saturdays, and started teaching me the basics of hand drafting. Once I reached high school, and became tired with my retail job, I re-joined forces with my Father and started our journey on the road to digital design. I worked with Brooks as a designer and draftsman throughout the remainder of high school, and quickly decided that architectural and interior design were the passion I wanted to pursue as my full time career.

Upon graduation, I entered moved to Boston, MA to pursue my Bachelors of Art in Interior Architecture. Over the Summer Brooks and I created our Architectural Design Firm, Brooks Design, and I spent my Summers, and extra evenings working for the firm throughout college. I completed my degree, and returned to California just in time for the recession. At that point in time, re-joining Brooks Design / B.A. Worthing, Inc. full time was not a viable option, so I began my search elsewhere.

I joined Herron+Rumansoff Architects in 2009, and greatly enjoyed the challenge of expanding my horizons working on a multitude of different project types. I had the opportunity to design healthcare facilities, retail locations, tenant improvements, bank branch locations, residential remodel, and even an auto body shop. It was an incredible time of growth in my career.

I met my husband in 2010, and we decided to relocate back to his home of Upstate New York, more specifically Rochester, NY. Upon arriving in Rochester, I hit the pavement, and was able to take on an opportunity working for a legendary metal sculptor, Albert Paley. During my time with Paley Studios, I assisted Albert in developing his greatest series of sculptures, which was featured on Park Avenue in New York City for nine months. After gleaning all the opportunity afforded me, I accepted a new role in the Design Services Group for Wegmans Food Markets. During my time with Wegmans, I studied for and acquired National Certification for Interior Design Qualification, and was accepted into the Executive Master’s Degree program with the University of Denver, in Real Estate Development and the Built Environment. I was on the Architecture and Remodel teams for Wegmans for six years, when my Father, Brooks approached me about an opportunity to move home to Carlsbad, and take over his legacy.

In June of 2018, our family relocated back to Carlsbad, CA, and I rejoined team B.A. Worthing, Inc, as the Vice President.

After re-joining the team, I completed my Master’s degree in 2019, and obtained my contractor’s license. We began the transition process for Brooks to enter into an active retirement, and in June of 2020, I stepped into a new leadership role as the President of B.A. Worthing, Inc.

Continuing my Father’s legacy of honesty, transparency, and quality for our clients is my passion, and I look forward to meeting you, and working with you in a collaborative design and construction process.
