Brooks had not yet graduated from college when he finished building his first home. It was immediately clear that he enjoyed the building business. Earning his General Contractor’s License in 1980, recognition of his skills came quickly for the young home builder. Brooks’ business grew and soon he was building and remodeling more than twenty homes and commercial buildings a year.
Brooks was the active President of B.A. Worthing, Inc. / Brooks Design for forty years, after which he asked his daughter Alena to step into the leadership role. Alena has been the active President of Team B.A. Worthing, Inc. since 2019. Having worked together as a team for over fifteen years, Alena and Brooks continue to maintain a collaborative design and construction process with their clients, and each other.

During the design collaboration we are able to put their thoughts down on paper, develop a realistic program for their desired space, and actually begin the process of making their dreams a reality.”
